There are two different kinds of steam cleaners…the standard steam cleaners and vapor steam cleaners.
The typical steam cleaner comes with an encased boiler…a container…hose and also brushes. It utilizes hot water to wash the surface but is used only to clean floor surfaces. This works by spreading the hot water on top of the filthy surface…and then the spinning brushes will begin scrubbing up the floor and gathers the dirty water in the container.
At times the cleaners need a cleaning solution to remove the stains…but most use the steam and brushes to get rid of the stains.
Water vapor steam cleaners have a container with heater…a hose along with a nozzle. Water is heated up in the tank until eventually steam is produced. The steam is used on unclean areas from the hose and nozzle. The steam will help in removing the dirt and stains from the infected surface. After the surface area is clean…a vacuum can be used to complete the cleaning job.
Delicate textiles can be treated with a vapor steam cleaner due to the fact moisture content is only 6% in the vapor cleaner…so the surface will be touch dry. Using a vapor cleaner is also very safe due to the fact no chemical substances are used for the cleaning process.
There are also steam cleaners specifically made to clean carpets and rugs but rather of using steam…hot water is used to clean the carpets.
After the carpeting is wet…brushes in the steamer are used to scrub the carpeting. Then the unclean water is drawn back to the container. Good air flow towards the carpet can help dry it a lot quicker but if that isn't possible…then an air conditioner is going to do the job equally well. When the carpeting is dry vacuum it…so it is thoroughly cleaned.
Steam cleaners can have a self contained water container or they will have a continuous water supply. Obviously the latter is much more convenient…because you do not have to constantly fill up the tank up and waiting for the water to boil.
The constant water supply steam cleaners have continuous re-fill technology…which will mean you do not have to wait for the water to boil again. This is achievable because of a couple of tanks…a boiler tank and a fill up tank. The refill tank is kept full where the steam cleaner automatically transfers water to the boiler making sure a continuing supply of steam…with no need to wait for the water to boil.
Anti-microbial technology is used in current steam cleaners and this technology was especially developed to eliminate the different types of microorganisms from the surface. Scientific tests have found that current day steam cleaners is capable of eradicating around 99.9% of all known bacteria and fungi often present in industrial and residential buildings.
There are a number models to choose from but before you decide what type to purchase…check for boiler capacity…attachments bundled…manageable size…warranty etc.
